Looking to elevate your yoga practice and explore the world of Pincha and Headstands? Join Dusadee and Maria in this 2 hour workshop to help you conquer Pincha and Headstands. They will share tips, tricks and the bio-mechanics involved in balancing.

Poses Covered:

Pincha (Mayurasana)
Supported Headstand(Salamba Sirsasana)
Tripod Headstand (Mukta Hasta Sirsasana)
to Crow (Bakasana)

What to expect:

  • A yoga flow specifically designed to find strength and flexibility in the areas of the body needed to enter and hold the poses; targeting the wrists, arms, core, shoulders, hips, spine, and hamstrings. As well as working with the muscles to develop shoulder strength and flexibility for forearm stands, our prep poses help engage the connective tissue known as Fascia which wraps around our muscles, bones and organs like a web. A healthy Fascia system helps you find increased mobility, force transmission, proprioception (the brains ability to know where your limbs are in space) and a feeling of ‘lightness’ in your arm balances.

  • Demonstrations breaking down each pose, offering tips, props and modifications to help you find balance in the pose.

  • Give you more time than in a regular yoga class to practice the arm balances. We also work the room and give each person individual attention for a more personal approach and support than in a regular yoga class.

  • Cool down with counterposes and Savasana to finish the practice.

  • Refreshment circle at the end to share observations and answer any questions.

Benefits of the Workshop

Gain confidence to explore and balance in the Pincha and Headstand family.
Develop strength, flexibility and awareness in your body.
Break down the barriers of fear.
A fun way trying to elevate your practice and spending time with like-minded people.

This workshop is open to all levels, although some experience in yoga is recommended.

We look forward to seeing you there.
